About the Campaign
Riverdale continues to focus and grow as a church on our mission; to help people develop a deeper relationship with God, each other and the world.
This is accomplished by serving, caring, loving, educating, and engaging our church in ministry both near and far.
The Blueprint for Hope campaign is about stepping into our full potential as a church. The simple reality is that we live in a world where the look and feel of a place can influence the decisions people make-even about the church and what it means to have a relationship with God.
Our goal is to eliminate every barrier between people and Jesus. Blueprint for Hope allows Riverdale to improve our existing ministry and facility infrastructure, by raising $1.7 million over the next two years.
Currently, our children's facilities are bursting at the seems. And our current foyer has its limitations as we continue to add more and more people to our church. The Blueprint for Hope Campaign allows the ability to remove those barriers in the following ways:
Expanding Our Foyer
Creating a welcoming living room of hospitality.
Reimagining our children's ministries area by expanding our Kids Ministry space with state-of-the-art education amenities for the focus of "training up a child in the way they should go and when they are old they will not depart from it."
1. Expand our nursery facilities for toddlers, infants, and newborns, focusing on safe and secure care by Riverdale's trained and dedicated caregivers.
2. Relocating administrative offices to accommodate the enhanced children's & nursery spaces.
How We Got Here
In the 1940s, God gave Willard Band a God-inspired blueprint to reach the Anoka area. In 1944 the church was officially established. For thousands of people, our church has been a place where Hope began and Hope grew. Because of our history in the area, we are set up to make a big impact in the future. While we look back amazed at what God has accomplished, we believe the best is yet to come. Our continued growth is a clear demonstration of God blessing our efforts. These are exciting times at Riverdale Church! Our prayer is that you and I continue to build a Blueprint for Hope for our church, our community, and our families.
What Does This Future Look Like?
Riverdale Churh's desire is to reach people for Jesus in our community and across the globe, and this is done through your generosity.
Leadership giving is an example of the Multiplier Principle. When our leadership steps forward to provide sacrificial gifts, congregationally we feel secure, knowing that the amount that is given in addition greatly benefits the mission and vision of Riverdale. Our multiplied gifts strengthen the voice of Riverdale's funding initiative. As a church community, we have the ability to be moved through the Holy Spirit to match leaderships financial commitment. Matching gifts are multiplier gifts because they double-or multiply the total amount of dollars available to ministry.
The author of the book of Hebrews says this in chapter 10, verse 24:
"Let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds."
We can put these words into action as we encourage one another to live out our central Riverdale values: Jesus is our Message, People are our heart, Growing Smaller, Generosity is Our Privilege, and Servant Leadership.
The Multiplier Principle
1 Chronicles 29 describes David's response to leaders, in his challenge to give generously for the building of the Temple. Equally, this scripture demonstrates the impact of gifts given in multiple and the response it generates in others. Listen to David's words in verses 14-17:
"But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this...O Lord our God, as for al this abundance that we have provided for building you a temple for your Holy Name, it comes from your hand, and all of it belongs to you...And now I have seen with joy how willingly your people who are here have given to you."
As you prayerfully consider a commitment amount, consider how your gifts, by virtue of the multiplier principle, can inspire others to remember our belief at Riverdale - Anything is Possible. Every gift brings us infinitely closer to transforming Riverdale's vision into reality.
